The Music Genome Project takes its name from The Human Genome Project – a project that mapped out the entire structure of one human’s DNA. The Music Genome Project analyzes a song from a scientific perspective, identifies “genes”, and compares it with other songs to find similarities. There are a few details on

The best part for us is the resulting website which we may enjoy free of charge. It’s a lot like Launch from Yahoo! except it doesn’t have commercials. it earns money from visual ads and optional subscriptions.
